Hey I just got laid off, anyone got a job? Sadly I'm just a manager recently but I'm superb at it. Glad to work outside of tech. Whee

Edit: and software designer. I kick ass at that. But mostly I translate and coordinate between different specialties to make a coherent team, turn goals into plans and then run those plans. Done a lot of hiring and professional development work too. Great at weeding out the bozos and assholes. Oversight and compliance of every kind. Would love to work for a cause

I was in high school in the early ‘90s, and the Dead scene in NY was so overhyped as dangerous my generally chill parents wouldn’t let me go to shows. Fall tour ‘95 was supposed to be my chance. Grateful for the tapers and Relisten as I go down a ‘94 rabbit hole this week.

@mrcompletely I appreciate hearing this. tbh the scene outside Citi Field shows last summer was uncomfortable. The NY scene felt way harsher than Philly or the west coast.

Dr. Martens sold “for life” boots that were guaranteed for life. We have 3 pairs in our family. I have had my pair replaced because of size, no questions asked. They discontinued the program in 2018 but grandfathered everyone in who registered.

My son’s boots are shot. I reached out to start the replacement process. They responded since the end of the program, their supply ran low and as a result, he can pick any boots under $180.00 and cannot be made in England.
