clockwork_octopus,

Uh, I dunno. I need to get my car fixed, but I keep forgetting to call them - doesn’t help that I emailed them already and never heard back, but whatever. I think my taxes are done, but I dunno, I’m not a tax lawyer. And we’re not gonna talk about the current state of my house, lol

clockwork_octopus,

You probably already know this, but if you’re watching ticket prices, try to check from a different phone or laptop each time. As in, check with your phone one day, your computer the next week, and while you’re at work the week after. Something about ISP tracking or something means that prices can go up if the site knows you’re watching, but if you’re looking from a different location each time, to the website you look like a different person, so the price won’t inflate as quickly.

clockwork_octopus,

Interesting. Ymmv, I guess

clockwork_octopus,

Moon of the Turning Leaves. It’s the second in a post-apocalyptic, and picks up 10 years after the first. I’ve only just started it, but I have high hopes

clockwork_octopus,

It didn’t say anything about him becoming magnetic though, so maybe? 🧐

(j/k, obviously, before some idiot rolls in here and starts something serious that I just yeah no)

clockwork_octopus,

Yup,I hear ya. It took till I was 34 to get a diagnosis of severe ADHD. It’s hard not to be angry when I think of all the ways it could have been so much easier and better for me, but it’s wasted energy to do that, honestly. Just gotta move forward, you know?

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

clockwork_octopus,

Stray is an awesome game that’s easy to learn, fun, and really beautiful. Makes for a great starter game

clockwork_octopus,

Sweet, thanks! I wasn’t sure the new expedition had launched yet

clockwork_octopus,

Well, as a product of rape myself, I can tell you that I am a firm supporter of abortion. I absolutely should have been aborted, but here we are. Pro-birthers are unbelievably selfish assholes.

clockwork_octopus,

I think I get what you’re trying to say, I just wish I existed on better terms, you know? I mean, I’m happy with who I am and how I turned out, and I love my life now, but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I shouldn’t exist. I’d love to have been a happy little accident, or even the love child of an elicit affair, rather than to have my very existence be a constant reminder of hurt and betrayal and the worst moment of somebody’s life. It’s a raw deal, but not anything I want to take back, if that makes any sense.

Just got my first pair of nice needles

Hello everyone! Just here to say that I am truly blown away by the difference having nice needles makes! I am a crocheter branching into knitting, so I got a silly little cheap pair of needles to see if knitting was something I’d like. I enjoyed it but there was something frustrating about it that I couldn’t quite identify....

clockwork_octopus,

Nice! I have a set of carbons and they’re by far my favorite! Bamboo are alright, nice and flexible, but sometimes they grab. Metal are nice and slippery, but they’ll hurt my hands after a while. My carbons though, they’re the perfect balance!

F.D.A. to Issue First Approval for Mass Drug Imports to States From Canada (www.nytimes.com)

The Food and Drug Administration has decided to allow Florida to import millions of dollars worth of medications from Canada at far lower prices than in the United States, overriding fierce decades-long objections from the pharmaceutical industry, according to a senior administration official....

clockwork_octopus,

I wonder how this will impact Canada

clockwork_octopus,

As a fellow Canadian, I share your concerns. I’m all for helping people out, but there are better ways than allowing a state to cripple Canada’s already struggling health care system.

clockwork_octopus,

While I agree with you on most accounts, Milwaukee drills have cheap switches on them, they’re usually the first to hang to go. The chucks seem kinda cheap too, but honestly that’s not enough for me to switch teams, I’m married to Milwaukee, and the divorce would just be too damn expensive at this point.

clockwork_octopus,

I was wondering when someone would mention MasterCrap

clockwork_octopus,

I’ve never heard of that idea before, but it’s really interesting! I wonder how they’d be able to prove something like that?

clockwork_octopus,

Good on you for using your stash! I have yarn that’s older than that, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it!
