Musical Journey to the Past: A Conversation with the Creatives Behind Anastasia

The panel ended with a live performance by Liz Callaway, the original singing voice of Anastasia, singing "Journey to the Past", accompanied on the piano by Stephen Flaherty, as Lynn Ahrens looked on. Amazing.

Loved hearing all the development stories, especially about Carrie Fisher being hired for two weeks to punch up the dialogue in the scenes between Anya and Dimitri.

She's a Disney princess now. Hope she eventually gets her due.

(about 10 mins video - first of two videos) I was fortunate on Sunday to see two of the on a training walk. They got to interact with some other droids, and showed us how they've been taught to react to royalty. Unfortunately, one of the droids ran out of charge before the end of the training and had to be helped off. (You know how when kittens are sleepy, they just stop and plop wherever they are and take a nap? Droids are apparently the same.)

(about 7 minutes video - second of two videos) On Sunday, as I was watching two of the on a training walk, one had to take a spontaneous nap. The remaining droid, among other things, got a little refresher on how to do a jump. So cute!

And, for the record, none of these droids are Wall-E.

@troy I haven't watched the controllers at all because I'm too fascinated with the droids. I'll have to do that sometime.

Saw fireworks at tonight. Highlights for most people are flying as well as the multi-ballooned house from .

It's actually the best fireworks show they've had in a while in that the fireworks are a significant and spectacular part of the show, as opposed to the focus being the visual projections. 1/3

In the last few shows, the visuals are so well done that you're actually not paying that much attention to the fireworks, which play a secondary role anyway. In this show, the fireworks take prominence, especially with so many being fired off . 2/3

Also, I found the visuals to be disorganized and haphazard, with only a very thin connection.

If it's a fireworks show you want, this is the one to see, preferably if you can see the fireworks being shot off the castle. 3/3

The animatronic turtles stay out for half an hour for every quarter you put in, but you have to know where the hidden coin slots are.

Because there aren't many festival booths, instead of a book, they have a little flyer to show you what's available at each booth and where each booth is located.

Red panda bao (pork and vegetable stuffed bao) with chile-garlic sauce. They definitely know how to make the bao dough - good texture on this as with other bao at the resort. The filling had nice flavor. The sauce was a little lacking. It wasn't very spicy but I didn't taste any garlic. A garlic sauce would have added some extra flavor.

Smoked fire wood BBQ spiced Impossible chicken with hot mustard sauce, pickles and charred onions. The charred green onions were nice. There was very little BBQ sauce, and I didn't notice any hot mustard sauce. Hot mustard would have helped a lot. I had a taste of the not-chicken, and it definitely needed seasoning.

Ratatouille pizzetta, topped with mozzarella, eggplant, squash, zucchini, a drizzle of tomato sauce and a wedge of French camembert. I loved this dish. Ratatouille on a small pizza with a wedge of cheese! Perfect!

Mood swing - half joyful yellow comforting mac & cheese and half angry red hot mac & cheese. I was glad they offered the half and half combo, and I love the name. The regular mac &cheese was very tasty. The red hot one mac & cheese was definitely very spicy, which built as you ate more. I can handle fairly spicy foods, but even with a half order, I could only eat about half of it. I can't imagine having a full order of it.

On our visit to #ScumAndVillainyCantina last night, I realized I hadn't really looked at the graphics in the first room. So many fun places to go on the holodeck! And I love the variety of planets represented on the star chart. 1/3

The DIY water station is the slowest ever, like water is coming from Tattooine.

So many different fandoms represented in the names of the food and drinks and in the music. Fun place to have dinner before a show. 3/3
