Everyday I am saddened by what my country has become. Left/right it doesn’t matter we as people have allowed far too much power to be in the hands of politicians. We are fighting our fellow people, the very people our lives align with significantly more than the suits in Washington. Guess what? Those suits are happy to keep us divided and fighting

We shouldn’t be fighting about BlueSky or the next decentralised platform when there’s still millions being harmed by big social.

I dream for us to get back to the roots of humanity. When we as a collective influenced our livelihoods and didn’t concentrate the wealth and power. We will never go back to that but there’s no reason those of us that believe in decentralisation can’t ban together to loosen the strangleholds the 1% has on the world.

Before these massive militaries and governments it was the people working as a collective, using their brains & skills for the advancement of the world. History has shown that we do not need to be tethered to big business for survival

Decentralisation shouldn’t just be about social media. It’s not just some catchphrase it should be a way of life. A way we give power back to the people.

When we gatekeep we are ultimately saying we are “conservatives” and the world needs to conform to us or you can go elsewhere. We are not considering the real world implications.

There’s so many incredibly talented and skilled people that we can give power to independent reporters. Give them platforms that amplify their voices to the millions.

What bothers me is that we know the detriment that big media & big social have on society yet we still give them attention. They have dollars behind them but if millions of us tuned them out that is a very significant impact. The relationships that we have with these companies are very abusive.

I love BlueSky and most of the people are incredible there. But I need to block & mute. So much of that place is like a psycho stalker ex when it comes to Twitter and it’s really creepy now.
