dessalines,

Sure, if someone takes the time to create a good one, i'll pin it.

dessalines,

Nope, and we don't plan to. Too much complication.

You can add any markdown you want to posts and sidebars, and any mod can edit the sidebar.

dessalines,

Sweet, thx

Reddit has permanently suspended my account for supporting Lemmy.

I have been supporting Lemmy recently a lot and made posts about Lemmy that got big reach. Today, sadly the reddit account through which, I moderated a lot of subs and spent time on, comes to an end. The reason was because I spammed according to reddit, but the reality is that they have censored me because I was hurting Reddit....

dessalines,

Agree, this is certainly a calculated move.

dessalines,

Not much need for that atm, I release pretty frequently, and we don't have many features that stay unmerged for long.

dessalines,

I'd also recommend adding the izzyondroid repo to f-droid, it updates much more frequently than anywhere else.

dessalines,

Click the view source button, then you can select text.

dessalines,

It's probably the opposite, jerboa doesn't truncate passwords when it should, as the lemmy back end and lemmy ui use a 60 character limit. Open an issue on jerboas github if you would.

dessalines,

Thx!

dessalines,

Network pushes like that aren't resource intensive at all.

The only negative IMO, is community discovery. Which tools can always come out in the future that help with this. We could even embed these into lemmy-ui in some way.

example: https://browse.feddit.de

Oh another one: redundant hard drive space.

dessalines,

Some I've been listening to lately:

  • Talk Talk - spirit of Eden
  • Prefab sprout - Steve Mcqueen
  • The dismemberment plan - Emergency and I
dessalines,

Mezzanine is brilliant.

dessalines,

Close to the edge is chefs kiss. Total masterpiece.

The time to streamline Lemmy onboaring is now. Let's do it like mastodon did. (blog.joinmastodon.org)

I've seen lots of discussion on reddit of users trying to get others to join Lemmy and the prevailing reply is that it is too difficult to navigate and comprehend. Having to answer multiple questions and wait for manual verification is combersome and is limiting growth at a time when nothing should be standing in Lemmy's way....

dessalines,

IMO its not worth the effort. Bots have beaten captcha, and registration applications, or email verifications, are a better way to handle spam registrations.
