I think AI will be great for small startups.

As overfunded startups and tech behemoths destroy simple, functional products by “adding AI”, the resource constrained companies will deliver quality, focused products.

We saw this in the 80s with PCs vs. IBM (which never managed to profit off the PC)

We saw this in the 2000s when computers in your pocket (iPhone and android) upended computing. Keep in mind, in 2004 apple had a market cap of $22b… 1% of its market cap today.

I’ve also updated the file format to a binary format that’s cryptography secure and also supports incremental addition Items to the corpus.

My son Daniel made a super tasty dinner for us… we were joined by a yoga buddy who loves Artemis.

During tonight’s walk, we ran into Loki and her humans… two lawyers. Frightening that my bar ID is 1/3 of their bar IDs… lots of lawyers minted after 1992.

Reminds me of when NeXT did a big layoff in 1992. They started by firing the person in the mail room. Steve Jobs had to hand address the fedex envelopes with termination notices to impacted NeXT employees who did not work out of headquarters.

My father, Fred Pollak, was born on this day in 1935 in Vienna. My father and his parents escaped the Nazis in 1938 and immigrated to the US.

My father passed in 2008. May he rest in peace.

I am remembering his birthday as part of remembering who he was and celebrating all that he did for me and my kids.

Since November when I got Artemis and started yoga, I lost another 15lbs.
