when someone says that Japanese media outlets don’t cover something in the news, with the implication that Japan is especially deficient in some way, I like to open my phone and literally any news outlet and screen shot the coverage which of course actually exists. because that claim is 99.99% of the time utter silliness. next, I delete the screen shot and go on with my day continuing to also dislike mass media plenty myself
