We've had interesting behavior with phones that did not tell the truth about their capabilities, and fun debugging armv7 / arm64 builds of SimpleX.

We have a new This week in #FDroid (TWIF) post.

Thanks to the EU's DMA, 3rd party stores will get more love and treated more equally than before.

Tailscale is doing a redesign, until that's done we've released the crash fix update.

Conversations and Quicksy have their 10th anniversary and celebrate with a design update.

Last but not least, we had 10 new and 160 updated apps this week.

2 days ago I reported about a #security patch having been applied to the IzzyOnDroid F-Droid repo aka #IzzySoftRepo – but I didn't give much details. After it was tested now at the IoD test & staging area, and running smoothly for two days for the public one, I reported back to its author @obfusk that all seems smooth, and she decided to make POC & patch public. PSA: The panic button features built into F-Droid break when targeting newer Android SDK versions (e.g. #targetSdkVersion) due to new restrictions.

It might be possible to get them working again, but we currently do not have the bandwidth to maintain this. We welcome contributions to get it going again. Until then, removing the panic features looks to be our only responsible course of action. #CalyxOS includes built-in panic features like app removal, so that is a recommended replacement.
