Who should be software packaging is a tough problem, I can see the value in #linux distros pushing for better changes downstream, encouraging upstream to change (double click in #KDE) but then I see cases like KeepassXC where the Debian package is now by default broken, actively damaging the reputation of upstream but then I remember #XZ where upstream was left unchecked and hid bad code in plain sight and I go back around in a circle.

When it comes to gaming, no other company has dropped the ball like Google.

Chrome OS is basically Linux. They could have invested in Proton and therefore given Chromebook users access to a vast library of PC games that way.

Instead, they tell Chromebook users to stream games—even though they already shut down Stadia.

Without Proton support, it’s a bad idea to buy a so-called “gaming” Chromebook.

I thought their strategy is to lore more user into handing over their own data to Google using cheap price -- and personal preference digest into more ad revenue.

My 72 year old mother is in a hospital right now. I had to make and take all sorts of phone calls lately, just to manage things like insurance and care facilities.

It got me thinking about Linux phones. In this current time I couldn't use something like @postmarketOS because even missing a single call can cause huge difficulties and delays right now.

I really hope calls can be made more reliable in the future. 🙏

@fell if calls are really important to u, consider a commercial model, even the cheapest android guarantees compatibility of GSM cell and webrtc calls

But if life is harsh for you recently, maybe avoiding yourself over debugging the necessary 3c device

BUT, another but, if that is for relieving stress, and having something to do, then ignore me anyway.
