friends do you think "animals" in the tetrapod size range that had hydaulic driven limbs would be too heavy to evolve flapping flight of the type seen in birds, bats and pterosaurs?

@Aviva_Gary @llewelly i only know of spiders when it comes to hydraulic driven limbs. tho they still use muscles for flexion. the ornithopters i've seen (i think) are mechanically driven

i wonder if they started out more like the spiders and then reduced the hydraulics but kept them because of the post molting process

i am looking into it because i find it fun to come up with speculative organisms and because you learn stuff about reality along the way
