It's not quite synaesthesia levels, but loud, sharp, abrupt, discordant noises feel almost like being physically struck, for me. I physically recoil from it.
So when the guy comes in to refill the can vending machine, it's like being repeatedly slapped in the face for like 5mins.

@kyonshi It's weird, because high volume sound is fine. But sudden sharp sounds are like an entirely different sensation altogether.
I suppose in less polite times I'd be described as "skittish" like some kind of animal. It's really just sounds though.

Lately, it seems like every time we have a major decision about tech to make, we keep making exactly the wrong one. I object each time but nobody listens, so we've reached a point where literally everything going on is wrong and there is nothing I can do about it, so I just have to force myself to stay quiet.

What is it about age and noisy bodily functions?

I can hear my coffee making the bend at each corner of the Colon 😞. Gurgling, sloshing, air bubbles popping, I stepped outside an hour ago to stare at the sky, it's still and clear, and I stayed on the deck because the backyard is travelled by animals at night.

Suddenly, my coffee sped up on the last lap, and I swear it scared all the animals out of the yard, and woke up the geese!

I'm going to have to eat something.

What is with all the weird Firefox propaganda on mastodon lately?
I stopped using it because it was a bloated piece of crap with questionable decisions being made.
Now that Chrome is also a bloated piece of crap with questionable decisions being made, that didn't automatically make Firefox better.

I'm not in the market for a new browser. I have to use Chrome and Edge at work for testing, but interestingly they don't make me test on Firefox...it's not really a factor here.
But for personal browsing I am fine with Vivaldi.
