it took 8 months, well after alex was banned from the pleroma git repository before somebody exploited something he fixed in the wild long before it was exploited. incredible. im once again demanding @lain consider unblocking him from the repo, yet again. you're fucking retarded if you dont
since i know there's a lot of you guys who run bots and scraping and whatever for nitter please reach out to me on here or graf@poast.org if you are going to treat the nitter that way or i will absolutely not revoke blocks/permanent bans
i have private instances for bots and stuff, seriously, dont use the poast nitter
just got home, checking the nitter and it's hovering around 100 limited accounts which is good, 100 and less means it wont error hardly at all. as orange man would say, I am monitoring the situation on queen mums day
i think im going to gut the entire matrixHQ room and just block it, block other rooms with a complexity over say 8 and be done with it. there's no reason niggas need to join rooms with 50k users in matrix's current shitty implementation
@esotericdoge the matrix protocol is the worst designed protocol ever
we shit on pleroma a lot because of "database rot" (not a thing if you are on top of maintenance and purging remote shit) but matrix -- if you joined a room with somebody on the poast home server we have been storing your device data and online/offline status, your username changes and anything else for 3 years.
went outside to take pics at 4:20 am (with a beer not a joint) and there's not much to see, dull diluted colors. hoping tomorrow is better but it's supposed to be cloudy and rain within a 4-5 hour drive radius of toronto
apparently more than half of people arrested at the "university protests" weren't even students which is in line with what happened in california and texas
i wonder who is funding anti israel protests and who it benefits
@graf if you understand critical theory, it actually makes perfect sense. the "least well off" side is the one you must always pick, regardless of how much their ideology is orthogonal, even adversarial, to everything you believe in.
@r000t@graf Thought this was a pretty common tactic used by law enforcement across countries. It's known that the government used it in the recent JNU students and then the farmer protests in 🇮🇳 . People who aren't students or farmers were 'planted' in the crowd of protestors to hijack the protest or discredit the protestors.
TL;DR: Protestors are marching peacefully, the police form their shield/wall and duh, someone from the crowd throws a stone, lathi charge (baton charge) follows.
there's enough ram in this nitter server i could legit cache frequent accounts accessed media/profile images etc in ramdisk and bypass nitter altogether for repeated loads
