I’ve been re-reading all my history books about the Nazis. One thing that strikes me is how hard it was to fight back against Nazism from inside. The normative culture is so strong and everybody is just going along. Ordinary folks, with denouncing their neighbours to the Gestapo. The Gestapo was tiny only 32k. It was the ordinary people that were informing on their neighbours. Ordinary people enabled Nazism.

It's heinous how rushed the denazification and how limited in scope The Nuremberg Tribunal was... a lot of nazi party members were very easily officially exculpated in an effort to "show big results"

@clewd @FediSluts Oh yeah, that's very understandable... marketing/promotion was the one thing I was really dreading before starting. Especially when we look at the state most social media platforms are in :/ Then again, it's a lot of trial and error, I find. I started on Reddit and DESPISED it, it's such a hostile and repressive environment! Mastodon is a way more welcoming and chill community
