My @runalyze predicts I can run a 5K under 30 minutes for the first time ever! I’m tempted to try it although I’ll probably injure myself. 😂😭

Ran the OC Half Marathon today! 🎉 I had so much anxiety last week about getting another stress fracture that I almost pulled out of the race. Decided to take it slow today and yay! I didn’t end up in urgent care afterwards like last time.

Well... That was a horrible performance. Another DNF, after 11 miles, because I was certain I couldn't make my halfway cutoff.

Long story short: It's time to rule out a femoral neck stress fracture. Anything capable of hitting a 7/10 on the pain scale, with me, is seriously suspect. It may be SI joint aggravation, and that would be great news. But I want to rule out a stress fracture. For sure.

Had a bad run today - for some reason just couldn’t get myself going. Was supposed to run 3 miles today but only walked/ran 2.5 miles and then gave up. Going to try again tomorrow. 😕

@purplepadma I once did an outdoor Peloton mental health walk and I don’t even remember the instructor anymore - but in the middle of it she said to “give yourself grace.” And I just burst out crying. I don’t know your situation of course and I’m halfway across the world, but hopefully you can give yourself some grace. Sending virtual hugs 💛

No for me - my husband tested positive for Covid over the weekend. The rest of us are fine so far but still trying to take it easy just in case. It is a lovely day for a walk with Evie though.

First run since my stress fracture almost 10 weeks ago! (9 minute walk/1 minute run x 3) Felt amazing to be out there again.

Taking a short pause from because I've picked up some pressure in the outer metatarsal bone on my left foot. Web searches suggest it could be overuse and the tendons are suffering. Of course, it could also be a stress fracture.

I had been on pace to reach my goal 1,000 km for the year, but I think I'm going to have to let it go.

friends! It’s been almost 7 weeks since my running stress fracture and I’m super super close to start my return-to-running plan. Giving it another week to heal but starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this injury.

At physical therapy - frustrated because my complete range of motion on my left ankle isn’t fully back yet. It’s been 5 weeks since my stress fracture. Hoping it will just take time.

Good news! After suffering from a stress fracture 4 weeks ago, I got the ok from my orthopedist to stop using the walking boot, start back on the bike again, and slowly ease into with my physical therapist.

Bad news, I have some sort of flu.

After my half marathon, I sprained my ankle and now I’m in a boot with crutches. No more for me for a while. Get ready for a lot more Evie photos in my timeline.
