There was a “fake shop” in Bedford for quite a while. The shop which is now there has a sign on it which says “this is a real shop”. I thought I had a photo of it but can’t find it. It wasn’t anywhere near as good as this anyway.

Oh, I’ve found an article about it (the Daily Mail, no less!). I didn’t realise it was the work of Tim Hunkin.

Hey, !imaginarytechnology sounds like it should be part of the FNIC Imaginary Network - see !imaginarydirectory

And whilst I’m here I’d like to promote all the imaginary subs as found in the pinned post in the directory community - most are only being posted to by other FNIC mods!

Maybe most of mine. The more niche ones which nobody else ever posts to:

• !yoursinclair
• !kfc (this was actually abandoned so I just took it over so I could post weird kfc products to it!)
• !teletext
• !lemmings (it did get some other posters at the start, now it’s just me and everything I post gets at least one downvote almost immediately)
