Please share the source for your claim about certification? My searching left me nothing but a snopes article debunking similar claims.

lol I'm in the Slide screenshot, hi mom!

I love that! Also the xkcd about being 1 of 10,000 people to learn something :)

Okay well that's reassuring as that's how I was pronouncing it in my head!

I will not-unhappily reheat and eat unrefrigerated two-day-old pizza. But I have the world's lowest standards for food.

Peanut butter and jelly (aka jam) with white sandwich bread with a generous amount of Doritos or cheez-its in it. One of my favorite meals!

Toasted sandwich bread with tomato slices, salt, and mayo. I could die just thinking about them. Add corn on the cob as a side.

A slice of sandwich bread with mustard, American cheese, and onion. Stick in the broiler to melt thecl cheese and brown the bread, and serve. RIP grandma.

I'm a big fan of running dev software because I love to experience the updates as they come :)

Lol I went to reddit the other day and saw a big banner about new mod tools being released 😅

I mean, it couldn't have worked as they clearly didn't even think about those communities in the first place, they had to be called out.

I think I saw that someone's making a translation later of sorts so the Lemmy API is more like the reddit one, I suppose to help with easing migration.

Maybe add a weight to each community based on its activity relative to the user's other subscriptions, and use that when creating the feed. I really need to dive into the codebase..

I downloaded OpenTTD for the millionth time and got sucked into it again. Many sleepless nights!

Yep – it shouldn't have to take a mass exodus from reddit with a specific push for Lemmy/kbin to get these registrations. Without the support of so many other people doing it, most wouldn't have had the initiate to figure it out, I suspect. Improving accessibility and user friendliness will be important for sustained growth when reddit protests are finished or shut down by admins.

That makes total sense. I hope to contribute sometime :)

The general themes on r/antiwork helped me leave a job after being disrespected after asking for a fair raise. That led to switching careers into data science and doubling me salary and doing far more meaningful work. There, I met a colleague, a 45 year old woman, and we were talking about pay equity and our current workplace, and she brought up to ME that she followed antiwork during COVID and how it also helped her realize her self-worth. She's now moved and found an even better opportunity.

It's mega cringe a lot of the time, and the value drops off after a month or two of following I'd say, but overall I think it was a force for good. At least in two people's lives.

Does anyone think that the Fediverse would make a much better next phase for the web then all of this Metaverse bull?

I'd much rather see sites like Lemmy, PeerTube, and Mastodon see widespread adoption then the dystopian cyberpunk fever dream in the head of Zuckerburg. Did you not read the novel dude? It's a freaking warning! That's like Jeff Bezos reading Fahrenheit 451 and going "holy crap dude, gotta make that a reality like, yesterday!" I...

What I despise about regedit is you have to know what magical keys exist to change functionality, of it doesn't exist already. Unless I'm missing something. Or there's documentation.

And I don't see a single thing about it on r/all. Or anything related to the blackouts.

Lemmy is in serious need of more devs

After the (temporary) defederation announcement of earlier i checked the Lemmy repo to see if there was already a ticket on the federation limiting option like Mastodon's that people mentioned Lemmy doesn't yet have. Not only i didn't find it, i also saw that there's about 200+ open tickets of variable importance. Also saw that...
