I wonder what the cheapest meal plan achievable for me is

ivesen,
@ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

@kura not much, I'm just terrible at planning meals and I'm pretty sure I spend twice as much as I need to due to that

ivesen,
@ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

@kura I also give 0 fucks about taste so I don't see any point in spending money on getting something that tastes better. I just need it to be fulfilling

ivesen,
@ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

@kura That's basically what I'm doing now, but I'm probably have too little veggies and too much meat lol

I've been considering cooking up a bunch of ratatouille to serve as veggies, and then just cook a fresh steak, or chicken fillet to go with it.

    @thor pin numbers tend to be printed on the back side of the connector (which probably isn't very helpful)
    iirc it's almost always left to right top to bottom when looking at a male connector from the front

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @thor oh lmao, I thought you were dealing with an amp connector
    for these you usually just have pin 1 next to a notch and go counting from there (since the pins are staggered they're essentially just a single row)
    sometimes I've seen the flat cable have individually numbered wires even

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @thor of course, when working with flat cables and the like there's no guarantee anyone followed any kind of standard, so it's not like it really matters any more

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @thor that tends to be correct, but at the same time, it's not like pin 1 on the cable / connector end has to have any correlation with what's in the system drawings

    looks like ipv6 latency is (generally/on average) lower and more stable at my current location compared to ipv4, neat

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @kura there shouldn't be any difference on the hosting side, I didn't exactly do the most scientific test for this

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @kura interestingly the second time I ran this ping (in the screenshot) the ipv6 latency shot up by ~8ms on average

    now trying the nextcloud client for desktop... its even slower :blobcatree:

    ivesen,
    @ivesen@miniwa.moe avatar

    @mposter @Jain a lot of the slowness I experience just comes from network latency anyway, or a pile of php garbage, either way I'm fairly certain I won't be able to speed it up significantly with hw upgrades, which makes me think it's not worth the financial investment
