Updated my basic-ass website with all of the PSO2 stuff I've scanned so far! Currently, there is:

  • Partially completed EP3, EP4, and EP5 Material Collections, and complete scans of EP1&2 and EP6 books
  • P-SPEC volumes 4, 5, 6
  • Episode 0 and PSO2es gag manga
  • Character song CD and OST booklet scans (and...some other stuff ;)
  • Episode Oracle anime CDs
  • Oracle Memories - an artbook for the discontinued PSO2 card game

Before I go to bed, I'm gonna shill my PSO2 scan project blog! I added a bunch of stuff over the past two months.

In particular, I've uploaded the Introduction, Gallery, and Extra sections for all the Material Collections, and the NPC entries in Costumes section for EP3 and EP4. EP5 is coming...soon? Depends on how well I manage my workload this month 🫠

Anyway, I hope you find something that interests you there.

due to work and family obligations the only timeframes I can host are November 24th-26th or December 26th-30th. Not 100% on everyone's timezone, but "early" seems to work for most people, so tentatively...8:00AM EST/13:00 UTC?

It only took me five days to get around to posting the rest of last weekend's screenshots with @shivarin and @nept_casradaura lol

1 - 2. I wanted some height comparison shots between Varuna, Casra and Luther b/c i think it's really funny that Varuna is noticeably shorter than the other two, but his EP6 outfit adds enough height to make him taller than both lol

  1. A fun design note: Casra's EP4 outfit deliberately mixes design elements of his EP1-3 outfit and Luther's EP2 outfit, Void Recorder. Seeing them side by side, it's kind of shocking how similar they look :o As another aside, there's no in-universe explanation for this decision, so you're free to theory craft on why Casra would deliberately choose to look like someone he clearly despised and feared. ​:blobfoxthinking:​

4-6. Uhh, this is Luther and Casra having a serious discussion about cloning processes while Varuna..........listens attentively. Yes.

  1. A thing i am working on is an alternate take on Episode Photoner where more characters from Oracle become involved in the Omega saga--namely Casra because I like him very much but also, kinda wild that he went from being a driving force in discovering Earth and EP4's plot to "Sir Not Appearing In This Story" for EP5??? I know there's some lore reasons for it, but I am choosing to disregard it. ​:blobcatwinktongue:​

PSO2 End of Summer Cross-Ship Meetup!

Been working on an N-Shiva face to match N-Varuna...plus having customized expressions is so nice for narrative screenshots.

We'll probably get N-Shiva eyes for the 12th anniversary but until then Shining Light Eyes will have to do.

I might host a meetup sometime between June 17th (my last day) and July 1st (it depends on how much time I can afford to vacation at the beach lol). May possibly promote it on bluesky as well since I have met a few PSO2 players there too ive also blocked a few players so maybe not ​:blobcatupsidedown:​

extremely rare sighting today: the falspawn clone trial. not only that, but it pulled an actual player and not one of the default looks. apparently part of why this is so rare is that it can only spawn in single party areas, and most areas where arbitrary emergency codes can spawn are multi party areas.

I've fallen behind on the transcription/translation of EP6's character files, but the recent plot developments in NGS have rekindled my interest in this project ​:blobcatwinktongue:​

Here's Matoi's entry. There are some parts I'm still unsure of, like the bit about her future in the Bad Ending, but I think this is at least presentable. The JP transcript is below for anyone who might want to try their own translation.

A young woman who holds the Guardian-class designation alongside the protagonist. Her photon abilities are top-tier, and her ability to absorb F-Factor is unparalleled in the history of ARKS. This ability to absorb F-Factor was necessary for Xion to achieve a peaceful world.

She spends most of EP6 with the protagonist, and the only time they are apart is in EP6-5, when the protagonist heads for the otherworld of Omega. In the Normal Ending, the protagonist, now host to the [Profound Darkness], goes back in time to the beginning of the universe, and Matoi is left alone. After that, her future is a mystery; it is not recorded in the Akashic Records. But in the True Ending, Matoi is guided by Xion to the protagonist, and saves them along with Hariette and Hitsugi. After defeating the [Primordial Darkness], she reunites with [Persona the Masked] in the spirit world. Persona tells her to "Proceed as you wish," and she decides to go forward with the protagonist into the future.

[Image] Matoi gets angry at the protagonist, saying, "Let's stop protecting the world...that's what we're talking about, let's stop, right?" But that's not all she wanted to say.
