Here's a short ๐Ÿงต with an introduction to the four other LBWs our @InteractionsUniSG group will present at next week.
Three of them were led by Master students from our course! ๐Ÿš€

@andresmh Indeed! We're quite aware that this could get nightmarish for users quickly if they don't have some control over what they see. ๐Ÿ˜… We're thinking of combining it with GOPHAC (No. 3 in this thread) to (hopefully) prevent that a bit.

๐Ÿš€ Recently, an extension of our GEAR paper was published:

"Gaze-enabled activity recognition for augmented reality feedback"
https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cag.2024.103909

In this extended version, we added feedback to the gaze-enabled so that users get helpful assistance after their current activity was recognized.

Our code and the gaze data are available here: https://github.com/Interactions-HSG/GEAR

@andresmh I haven't heard about this feature yet. As the AVP isn't really available in Europe yet, I'm a bit under-informed about the AVP so far :)
How does it work?

@andresmh Ah, interesting! I hope I can try an AVP at some point in the future.
How good do you think is the AVP's eye tracking compared to other headsets like the HL2?
