Okay, I want to buy a book on the programming language, but Eloquent Ruby is from 2011 and most books like The Well-Grounded Rubyist seem to be aimed at novices.

I've been trying to get into Dead Cells for the Return to Castlevania DLC, but I forgot I hate roguelite/like games... I find myself replaying the same stuff again and again without making much progress. It's not that I can't stand hard games: I loved Hollow Knight.
What's your opinion on the genre?

@joel Would love to but don't count on that nowadays. Nightmare Reaper is quite buggy, tried reaching out to report them, zero response. Had to wait +1 year for Bloodstained's patchset and it's still not playable.

Anyway, playing the DUSK port right now, and that's simply flawless, amazing!

I saw a video where the interviewer asked a guy on the streets "So what's your take on life, what are you planning to get out of it?"
I honestly wouldn't know how to answer that question... The guy immediately started rambling about building a real estate empire, I think he misunderstood the question.
What's your take on life?

@mr_creosote Thanks, I'm sure you're right. I too have this urge to "leave something behind" or build up a "legacy" of works or at least have an urge to publish things. I'm still not sure why. I want to share knowledge and things I've found. But perhaps it's also a bit of a sadistic undertone?
I also wonder, if everyone wants to leave something behind, then the world would be cluttered with stuff in no-time! Oh wait...

@Tijn @mr_creosote Doesn't in the end everything fade away? Not trying to be pessimistic here, but when it comes to thinking about a life philosophy, perhaps focusing on other values like the ones you mentioned Tijn might achieve more satisfaction while you live your life.

Anxiety is keeping me awake, and it’s getting so late in the morning that the baby will probably wake up soon. So that’s me for the day.

I’ve struggled with self-doubt, a kind of toxic shame, and dysphoria for most of my life. This has been a year where my self-evisceration has felt more justified. It’s not been good. I’m trying to turn things around.
