If you aren't familiar with a coverstich machine, it's like threading a serger but, at least on mine, you can't see any of where it all goes. Mine arrived unthreaded and it took 6 months for me to get it threaded.

@DanielMenjivar @anne_twain @sewing My industrial machine died in March. Going back and forth from regular serging to a lettuce hem caused my 15 year old "workhorse" to spit out plastic bits and tiny screws. When I was researching home machines (because the lettuce edge is important to me), I found that all of the home machines with all metal inside had none of the high end features. Metal instead of plastic is much more important to than air threading and the salespeople didn't understand that

@stina_marie @horror Knock at the Cabin wasn't his best work but it also wasn't his worst. I know that isn't much but with M Night Shyamalan, people kinda know what they are getting themselves into.

    Has anyone else suddenly decided that you hate how you look in something that makes you the majority of your wardrobe? Maybe it was a once favorite color that you now don't like, or no longer feel comfortable in a tight pencil skirt? Just me? Ok, ok, I see, just me. I now hate puffed sleeves. All I see now are attempts to "balance my figure" in some attempt to hide my fatness. Couldn't hide it then, no need to hide my arms or non-existent fatness now.

    A jewel toned rainbow wrap dress I icedyed last year! It's my swim cover up for lap swimming on cooler days. It was originally a long duster sweater, but I sewed in extra skirt panels + ties (before dyeing) to turn it into a dress. @sewing @tiedye

    we opened and completed this puzzle. It's 500 pieces, so I thought it would be a little easier for me. This one has letters on the backs to give you some clues. That made it super easy for my partner and I to do it.

    Anybody else get flashes of memories that make you want to time travel so you can coldcock a dead relative because you didn't realize how nasty it (the memory)was?
    (my grandfather did not allow my grandmother to get a driver's license. I knew he was a racist asshole back then, but I didn't recognize the misogyny as such at the time)
