I would love the child of a Surfacebook with a Framework laptop; or A bare keyboard attached to a screen, that I could plug my phone (possibly running Phosh) and use it as a hardware for a laptop experience
Good tip but definitely does not work 100% of the time, I used different bypass methods and some worked for one app but blocked another again. It’s possible if you know some code but to maintain it it’s not worth it IMO. Where I live being hacked is covered by insurance but if you bypassed root restrictions they definitely won’t be on your side.
You’re presuming people are paying attention to everything all of the time, which they don’t. Humans need that extra level of redundancy to mitigate our own shortcomings. Also, we look twice right as well! Once while standing still, the second time instinctively when you’re already crossing in case something changed. Would you be required to do this 100% of the time? Probably not, but learning from a young age you can’t trust one look is good practice in more ways than one.
Looking one time each way before crossing a road very clearly assumes you have seen every danger from one glance, otherwise you wouldn’t be confident in crossing the road.
When apple changed to lightning it was in the middle of the accessory hype where there were loads of accessories using the 30-pin. People where outraged because they could no longer use any of their accessories. Apple then commited to lightning for 10 years in order to sooth the public image. This was 11 years ago, and they didn’t switch last year to cut costs, but I’d argue it only overstayed it’s welcome for a year.
It’s not clear, then, whether developers would be able to change the resistance of the fluid to provide some sort of force feedback, or a resistance similar to that of the triggers in the PS5‘s DualSense controller (for steering in racing games, for example).
For someone who supposedly read the article you seem to be making big assumptions
I found a comment about the accuracy of the reader combined with a factual difference from the article very ironic and should be elaborated, which you did. +1
I can vouch for Belgium, where this is still the case. I have yet to meet someone who can only drive automatic (except for people with disabilities ofcourse)
I’m looking for some small content creators who’s content has not been influenced by the potential of making money. In the early days of YouTube there was mostly trash, but then a few small channels started using formats, using specific styles and actually standing out above a pile shit....
He’s absolutely the best spokesperson for right to repair. Very knowledgeable and no-bullshit approach. Although I find he’s becoming very complainy lately, not that there’s not enough to complain about lmao, but sometimes I’m not in the mood for 15 min of heated ranting.
LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER is honestly one of the best channels I’ve found this year, the guy’s energy is amazing, and the journey of his organ is definitely worth watching. I’ll check out the other channels for sure!
Them being sponsored is not the issue here, contrary to popular belief, you can actually be sponsored AND unbiased. But listen to many different creators and you’ll notice a trend in burnout, chasing the next viral video, having to meet deadlines for sponsors, etc. All these things can and will deteriorate the viewing experience.
I follow plenty of creators, doing so full-time and only with the support of their fans, it’s a well thought out, proven system and it works. Almost all of them started before any monetisation was possible as well. It’s amazing how something like that is even possible.
All that being said, there’s a definite decline in passion and drive across the board. I still enjoy all the new produced content, but in the same way I enjoy a movie or TV show. Much less in a “we’re a community of like minded people” kind of way.
What is the device you want, but that does not exist?

Is putting on a 'dumb voice' when quoting someone you disagree with actually a form of poisoning the well?
And does this unfairly paint them as less agreeable than they would be if you presented what they said with a normal voice?

Nintendo has filed a patent for ‘smart fluid’ joysticks, perhaps to eliminate drift | VGC (www.videogameschronicle.com)
Let’s hope this isn’t just a random patent, and we actually get better sticks next generation.

Can you drive a manual transmission?
And where are you from? And how old? Not “do you” but just if you know how....
What are some YouTube channels which follow pre-monetisation ethos?
