Had a wonderful time with @countscrofula watching wrestling at Rogers Place last night! I think that’s the most fun I’ve ever had at a live event (although it could be a tie with watching the Bruins beat the Oilers in February). 10/10, would go again!

Something I will miss about this house is the very 1970s kitchen. This little gem hides behind the oven. I hope whoever buys this place is as delighted with this find as I was.

We’re spending the afternoon going through my mother-in-law’s old slides with her, looking for old pictures of my father-in-law for his celebration of life in August.

We found one with Dave’s dad! That’s him on the left and my mother-in-law’s best friend on the right. I think she said this was at Oxford.

▶️ I've said my piece for now. I can't "waller innit" as my Granny would say. Emotional and physical health come first.

I care deeply about people and how "our" government is fucking *some of us to get its racist, classist, Christofascist rocks off. Official bigotry is on the rise and it's entirely depressing. But I have to pace myself.

"The Eddie Show" is a kind of USO for "the troops" in these battles we all face.

Our cat has never expressed any interest in catnip. At least, until we moved in with my mother-in-law and he discovered she gives her cats catnip.

So we bought Munch some today and I gave him a bit after lunch. He wandered off to the bathroom and rubbed his face all over the rug and made friends with a mop thing.

A couple hours later, I realised I hadn't seen Munch come back out of the bathroom. So I went to check on him. He moved approximately a foot and a half.

I ordered two books last night. One is "Red Lights on the Prairies" about the history of prostitution in prairie cities.

My mother-in-law was talking about the book last night and telling us about a madam in Calgary in the 1930s, named Pearl Miller. She says soldiers used to say "forget Pearl Harbour, remember Pearl Miller."

The second book is Ralph Nader's "Unsafe at Any Speed".

It came out in 1965 and earned the absolute rage of General Motors, to the point where they had him followed to try to dig up dirt on him.

Honestly, I'm as interested in the backlash from the book as I am in the book itself.

Sometimes I think about crime dramas and when the coroner is examining the stomach contents of the victim. I wonder what they think about that person’s final meal.

Having eaten nothing but fudge and prosciutto, today is one of those days.

@mike It's weird. That feels like a very different Canada. A Canada that was very proud not to engage in American-style politics.

It's also possible that it's just my perception of Canada that's changed because I was in university when this came out.
