@sinbad it was a 1.5 year long conversation, deciding between UE and Godot. I know the students want UE, but we can't realistically get them up to speed an UG course, there's too much in the engine.
But we had to leave Unity. Even their summer projects were smashing into Unity blockers, and the quality of the student projects has been declining over the last few years.
We've done some work with Godot, but yeah, I've not (personally) done enough to verify that last mile.
I've had to stop playing Arkanoid pinball for now, I really like the look of the table but those outlanes are just so brutal and I have yet to work out a shoving strategy to defend them effectively. Imparting any kind of extra energy to the ball when it's near them just seems to make them eat the ball even faster haha
