Heya! I thought I’d mention that I’ve been doing a bunch of development on the optical Timex Datalink watches! I have been carefully sniffing data from the original Timex software with a logic analyzer, and have fully reverse engineered every Datalink protocol, the serial Notebook Adapter, and even the CRT syncing graphics!...
Walmart sells a brand called Sceptre that I’ve been using for years now. Cheap dumb TV and use a Chromecast for all my streaming needs, works like a charm. And, I can always plug a real computer into it if I need it to be “smart”
Agreed, always need an external speaker, the sound bars are fine, but I prefer the amp speaker Way. I have an old school 90’s Harmon Kardon amp with two Cerwin Vega tower speakers and a sub just for kicks that sounds just so nice.🤌
I went to the Appalachian mountains. I left 2 days ago. Just now, I found a tic in a crevice of my ear. It was alive, but wasn’t full of blood. It was still thin. I also don’t feel any bite marks....
Assuming you pulled the tick out properly and didn’t leave the head or mouth parts in there, pay attention for symptoms and not sure how it will manifest on the ear but typically a red ring around the bite indicates something you might want to take antibiotics for. The type of tick matters too, Lone Star Tick will give you STARRI but if you were in the mountains it was probably a deer tick which you’ll want to watch out for Lyme disease with. Fever is a common symptom.

I reverse-engineered all Timex Datalink watches and devices, the Notebook Adapter, and the CRT graphics in Ruby! (lemmy.world)

Is it just me or did anyone else became a more avid poster since joining lemmy?
On reddit I was a lurker that posted like once or twice a year, but ever since joining lemmy I’ve started posting multiple times a day.
I found a tic in my ear. Should I be worried or looking for any symptoms?
