@msquebanh @brinnbelyea jup, Germany is the same, too. It's a symptom of capitalism in healthcare. Hospitals should not have to optimize for monetary gain alone, but for care quality on a given budget. Capitalism literally kills in this context.

The American no-solidarity system makes things worse faster than our compulsory healthcare insurance, but we feel the same effects nonetheless.
