@c0de517e wrt to heat limits, I'm kind of hoping we'll switch to photonic chips 'soon' .. no more heat problems, several orders of faster processing and lower electricity usage
researchers have already shown that it's possible to make a cpu that runs on light using light interference for branches, so it should be possible..

talked to some filipino people who work on a cruise ship and they work 9 months a year straight, 7 days a week, 11 hours a day for 500-600 euro a month wtf
the cruise company even holds their passport so they don't disappear in some port of call
at least all the food, lodging and electricity is free
but man this is abusive

Unity has been a big part of my professional life and I still love that company (despite the many mistakes by management) and the people who work there ..
So to see its stock dive below $20 when at some point it was $190 hurts a bit 😞

so i have this weird plumbing situation at my house ..
when I open a faucet there is this drilling noise that starts because of a vibrating pipe, which is not something you'd expect from a house built in 2009
The weirdest part is that it doesn't stop when I then close that faucet again?
Next to the noise there is one specific faucet in the house that's also leaking during the noise (but isn't the source of the noise) but if i open and close that faucet the noise stops 😐

crazy impractical thought; would it be possible to generate electricity from the difference between high and low atmospheric pressure over time?
I mean, probably? doubt it would be efficient though

@aras @sebastianlague saw it a couple of days ago, really interesting! makes me want to try rendering glyphs using curves directly for my imgui hobby project.. then I wouldn't need to care about managing a glyph texture atlas for unicode characters (of course I'd be swapping it for another can of worms)
@sebastianlague have you looked at harfbuzz for text shaping? (which is complicated when you need to deal with loads of different languages, most you wouldn't even know if they would be correct)

I have to say, the voice acting in bg3 is among the best I've seen (well, heard)
and man this game is taking a long time to finish
