I have heard the arguments, and they’re all risible, imo. “Social” media without search is just f-ing stupid. And that’s no small reason why so many people and journalists just rolled their eyes when you asked them why they stay on Twitter. And that will likely continue well into the Threads era.

lynn_in_atlanta,

@shoq There is a difference between logging in and using Twitter as a resource and actively posting and engaging there. A good compromise is to at least cross post everywhere but I am flummoxed by journalists who mostly still just post on Twitter. Why??

#WhatchaReading ? I've been catching up on series I previously DNFd. Read Duke of Desire by Hoyt -- still way too emo and icky for me, I should've let it lay. Reading Cross Breed by Leigh -- ehh, she sucked me in.

Also started Expiration Dates by Serle but I'm finding the structure frustrating. I want to know what happens now, not what happened every other time! I suppose it will make sense as a novel, so maybe I should save it for another time.

lynn_in_atlanta,

@willaful @romancelandia @romancebooks I am finally reading “A Curious Beginning” by Deanna Rayborn (Veronica Speedwall mystery series). Really enjoying the banter between the characters. Also reading an ARC: Love, Lies, and Cherry Pies by Jackie Lau. Very funny and a nice Canadian setting!

Curious what TV everyone has been enjoying. Probably my favorite right now is All Creatures Great and Small. I haven’t seen the finale yet but looking forward to it! Also digging the new season of Abbott Elementary and Ghosts.

Is anyone watching ? The Deer Lady episode was incredible. It’s about the inhumanity of the Indian Training Schools but dealt with in a unique way. I am sad this is the show’s last season. It’s so good!
