This has interesting ramifications for the Republic as well. If this is incompatible with the Good Friday agreement for the Northern Irish then is that also true for the Republic? And if so, will that just make the island of Ireland a giant hotspot for asylum seekers? Presumably nobody is asking for a border to stop Asylum seekers moving from Northern Ireland to Ireland? I’m not sure the EU would welcome this either.
Actually I don’t know what the fuck will happen, LOL.
I’d previously assumed that the logo that showed up on the title screens for Moroccanoil was just another state owned oil company putting sponsorship money into random things, but the haircare ad at the end of yesterday’s broadcast let me to do some investigating....
Do you think the EBU’s actions are related to this sponsorship?
Undoubtedly, yes. Otherwise they would have been more transparent about it / never taken the sponsorship in the first place.
I believe the EBU when they say they’re not a political organisation / competition. I also believe that they don’t give two shits about human rights violations one of their members is committing because the money is too good. They’re not concerned with politics, they’re concerned with money.
And that’s not a reflection on the EBU, that’s a reflection on Europe and European attitudes in general. There might be some outrage here or there and a few protests but ultimately Europeans don’t give a shit. Same with the US. Weapons and money are still funneled into Israel and this won’t stop. Illegally seized land is still illegally seized and it won’t be returned. UN mandates are still ignored and they won’t be respected. Palestinian children will still be bombed by Israel on the off chance they might grow up and potentially join Hamas and that won’t stop.
He was lorded simply by being prime minister. It was traditional up until Boris said fuck may. I have no clue what’s going on since then
What? That’s not even laughably true.
When left the PM’s office in 2016 he didn’t automatically become a lord. He spent 7 years afterwards not being a lord but received a life peerage in 2023 when he became foreign secretary.
Which is also wrong. John Major didn’t get a lordship. Tony Blair didn’t get a lordship. Gordon Brown didn’t get a lordship. You have to go back to Margaret Thatcher to find an example supporting your claims. That’s some twenty six years of being wrong… more of you count the PMs after Boris. 🤣🤣

Red Bull go on to win every race remaining of the season. Let’s be honest.
I used to use NewPipe back in the days of yore. Then I got Youtube Premium since it bundled in Youtube Music as well which I used. But the former’s app on mobile is a shit show. Even after paying, you are asked to tip random creators, purchase merchandise[ which are shown as actual ads below videos] and join channels to access exclusive videos for more money. Basically pay money once, and then pay more money for more content.
You talking about YouTube Premium? I literally never see ads in videos and am never asked to tip creators.I listen to hours and hours of music absolutely ad free. Is this a regional thing? What country are you in?

Bambi Thug (Ireland), Nemo (Switzerland) and Marina Satti (Greece) were absent from the final rehearsal, according to reliable Eurovision nerd byJannik:...
Bambi Thug should repaint her body painting words that the EBU asked her to remove in protest. The final is live, right? What are they going to do? Strip her?
Swedish police have investigated a complaint made by a female member of the production crew after an incident following his performance in Thursday night’s Semi Final. While the legal process takes its course, it would not be appropriate for him to continue in the Contest.
We don’t know what’s happened other than something involving the performer is being investigated. I can sort of understand the EBU decision to remove him given this.
It’s just very convenient that he’s not able to participate in the final given the Israeli controversy. What a coincidence, right?
And now there are talks of voting “tactical” by making anyone but Israel
I think a stronger message would be to make Israel win this year so the EBU are forced to host the contest in a country currently repressing and illegally occupying it’s neighbour.
The EBU will surely then have to pull it’s finger out and explain it’s double standards.
He should spend the money sacking the HomeOffice teams and replacing them with actually competent people that can process claims quickly and efficiently.

If they do (I doubt it but they’ll do very well) then Eurovision will have to decide whether they can host the competition in a country that has repeatedly broken the international rule of law, shut down press outlets it doesn’t like, illegally occupied land from a neighbouring country, and is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of children.
EBU: We are not a political organisation the rules are the rules and we have to continue no matter what.
