Speaking of terrible build quality of Teslas, I came home and noticed the trim falling off of my wife's car for no reason. She didn't hit anything. It just came apart on its own. Took a second to pop the clips back in, but why is it coming apart in the first place!? The other day the front tow hook cover was hanging by a cable for no apparent reason too. 🤷♂️
@WTL But I was never drinking the koolaid. When I bought mine, there were no other good EV options out there with this combination of range, performance, and price point.
@ssamulczyk I know where my wife parks the car. The car records video 360 degrees and gives alerts if someone touches the car and we can review video. Trust me, no one touched it. Teslas are just terribly built pieces of garbage. I've had countless things come apart on this car already for no reason. Interior as well as the plastics that protect the underbody. Those carbon lip spoilers that they put on the back of the performance models? Those don't even fit the car. They eventually fall off.
This past weekend was pretty memorable. Went to Bentonville, AR for Bike Fest. I only brought my e-bike as our goal was to get as much riding in as possible over 3 days. Broke my lower cage on my derailleur, rain dumped on us in the morning of day 2, and day 3 was just perfect. Officially clocked 92 miles of riding during our trip.
Unfortunately on the night before we were going to head home, a Tornado rolled through the area and caused major damage all over town. My car sustained a bunch of hail damage, but luckily nothing worse. Large trees fell over many homes and cars. Power lines down everywhere and trees blocked most of the streets. We were lucky enough to just barely make it out. The event had to be canceled for Sunday because of all the damage.
We got to see some great shows at the event, check out a bunch of booths of our favorite biking brands, and just be around like-minded people who have a passion for bikes and riding.
Here's a short clip of one of the trials riders practicing for an upcoming event. A lot of the riders were here from all over Europe since this was a UCI event. #mtb
And this was a very fun trail that had a bit of everything. We rode it about 4x to get more comfortable carrying more speed, but I couldn't get myself to go faster to clear some of the jumps. But some of the locals say this is one of the fastest trails in the area. It's called Interplanet Janet. I know everything looks flat in the video, but it was mostly downhill and had great features.
@fahrni Don't think so. But I'll keep my distance from any snake if I can. I've run over a few with my bike on trails and those are always the most terrifying moments.
My first NAS. I should have gotten one years ago, but better late than never. I retired my 12 year old Promise Pegasus 2 R4 which has been running flawlessly on the original drives, but getting it to connect consistently after the move to Apple silicon Macs has been annoying.
What I'm more excited about is the fact that I just cancelled my Dropbox account after what must be around 15 years of use? Their service has gotten worse over the years and I'm glad to be done with it. Notes in ALT text.
