It is not, as government agencies are not for profit profit organisations de iure. On top of that it’s violating law, and debfacto stealing from both the citizen and potentially from the state itself. You can’t just throw ‘capitalism bad’ on any observation of shitty socio-economic behaviour.
I’m ok with paying taxes for universal healthcare and infrastructure. Welfare for anyone who isn’t mentally/phisically disabled (on various levels) can go to hell. No unemployment benefits, no state-funded child support.
I moved 4 times, over 1k kilometers total for work, while all my peers where sitting on their asses and crying that there’s no future in the shithole we were born in. I do not have sympathy for such people. So answering your question: first: I don’t care. If you have two hands there’s nothing justifying you. Second: If you brake the law, you face the consequences.
My family lost everything in a flood when I was 8. My parents lower working class. I left home/moved 1st time at 18. I had nothing to inherit and nothing to lose. The ticket was 3$. While textbooks were not free, attending school was. I accept excuses from people that got caught in a natural disaster or a war only.
Did you encounter another problems with overlay? I, for example, need to press every keyboard key twice to get a letter to pop up in the chat. But only on overlay, alt-tabbed normal window works fine.
Seep paralisys is helluva thing. I’ve experienced lots of freaky stuff with it. Some of these include early 1900s looking shadowy figures walking through my room as if it would be a train station. Or a huge, black creature with very long claws (kinda like slender version of fallout’s Deathclaw) standing over me not letting me sleep (interestingly, I could see through both mine and its eyes. My first TPP experience) or just shadow black figures standing there at the end of my bed.
Same goes for local authorities. Munich even had its own Linux distro, then M$ opened a big office in the city and suddenly whole FOSS project was abandoned and everything runs on Windows.

Oh man, literally me. Stopped playing Fallout: BoS standing with the nuke in front of vault door. Didn’t learn the finale until years later when I watched it on YouTube. I just always assumed I just don’t want the story to end.
Freecol. Needed something to unwind and sometimes even AoE2 can be too demanding. So optimising trade routes and production in my towns washes out daily stress nicely. Also Xenonauts, but ground combat can be a hassle.
Scabs, dregs... its like I'm in Warhammer 40k. You guys play Darktide? If not: a question from non-native speaker: are scabs and dregs a, more or less, common expression/term in English? I'm just trying to escape the trap when you notice something, you start seeing it all around.

RIF was the only way i accessed reddit. That means i'm out for good. I'll miss subreddits like 'DataIsBeautiful' or 'RetroFuturism' and i'm still not 100% fluent in Lemmy but... there's literally no way back now.
Nothing before or after Morrowind had this level of familiar-but-alien vibe. Telvanni towers of huge mushrooms, giant crab shell being a redoran town, dwarven ruin, where some npcs standing around in the dark are being held as cattle by vampires... wonderful.
So I've been a little wary of installing Linux on my desktop since I have a 1660 ti as a graphics card and read that there are some problems with drivers and such. Are my fears unfounded/outdated? Anyone experienced any problems and what Linux distro should I look to use for gaming?
Same here. Fedora 37 on 3070Ti. Sadly, not all nvidia options are available in games' settings (like dlss). Also performance is sadly a bit lower than on windows. But according to Nick from TLE it should get better soon. No such issue on AMD.

Yes, you’re looking at ~92% tax right there. Final price jumped from ~113 dollars (584BRL) to ~220 dollars.

Monthly check in post! The last one was poorly worded. I just want to know what people have been playing on general, as far as strategy games.
