meant2live218,

Dang. Is it time for my annual re-installation of TF2?

meant2live218,

Oh, definitely needed a reprint of this! I have one copy I bought as a newer player last year, and since then I’ve put together like 3 other decks that would really like its inclusion. Hoping it drops to below $20?

meant2live218,

Now this full art treatment actually looks good, at least better than the Ur-Dragon and other handful of legendary commanders with the blank backgrounds.

meant2live218,

I’m still new to DnD, but after a few quick experiences, I think playing in-person has some benefits, especially for newcomers. It’s hard to get going with an online group when people have different levels of investment and commitment to the timeslot, and I’ve found online groups fall apart more easily than IRL groups. As a newcomer, my first “group” fell apart after 3 sessions, and I never really got a good feel for how the game went. It took my cousins and their friends inviting me for an IRL game to really get into it and enjoy it.

If you’re really looking at online, there are various Discord servers that will run games on roll20 and whatnot. I also just saw an ad for startplaying.games earlier, which apparently has paid games.

As for tools, it’s really up to you. Some people like using the physical books, others enjoy the way the information flows in something like DnDBeyond or Roll20’s compendiums.

meant2live218,

Man, I struggle as Blanka in both of these matchups, so watching how 2 top players both defend and go in on each other was super interesting. Might have to watch it in slow motion to really digest what the heck they were doing each time.

meant2live218,

Is this the correct article? When I click through I’m getting an article last updated in January 2021.

meant2live218,

I’m still on a stick, and really want to learn a leverless controller for more control and an easier time doing drive rushes, but I don’t think I can re-learn at this point.

meant2live218,

Oh boy am I going to get clapped by so much bullshit.

What would a new Banjo-Kazooie game look like? Would it push more in the direction of Nuts and Bolts? Or would it go back to its roots, which are sorta covered by the spiritual successor Yooka-Laylee games?

meant2live218,

Welcome! It’s always good to know that the community is growing and that there are people passionate enough to help it along.

For the sake of conversation, what’s a DnD memory you’ve been unable to forget?

meant2live218,

My plan for the week is to stay home so I can comfort the dogs when people are starting random bouts of fireworks from midnight to 3AM. Absolutely delightful.

meant2live218,

As a note for those who aren’t in the know, the document is created and maintained by the New Challenger (NCH) Discord. They’re a great community for learning a fighting game, and at least when I was learning SFV, they had ranks and regions you could assign yourself so you could see someone’s experience level or even ping roles to find people looking for sets for practice.

meant2live218,

I’m not sure how to submit GitHub issues, but there are a few things I want to note (I’m on a Pixel 6 Pro):

Sometimes when opening a post, after loading the entire comment screen is taken up by a blank gray screen. I can slide back out to the post/feed view, and after a few attempts re-enter the comment view and actually see comments. I haven’t seen other complaints about this, and don’t know what’s causing it.

When I use the built-in browser to view a link, there is no shortcut to back out to the comment view. Instead, I have to mash “back/up” enough to return to the view. A nice inclusion would be some sort of top bar or navigation bar to allow “leaving” the link and returning to my normal Liftoff view.

Thanks for everything!

meant2live218,

Game is phenomenal. SFV was my first serious fighting game, and while it was great to learn on, sometimes it felt like the game was “too structured” in a way? Maybe I wasn’t creative enough (only ever reached Ultra Gold after years of playing), but some moments just felt very formulaic.

SF6 feels very fluid, with normals and the Drive system working very smoothly and clearly. I still don’t have Drive Rushes down yet, but my janky Blanka somehow reached Platinum with 1 light combo, 1 heavy Drive Impact combo, a simple hit/grab mixup, and a frame trap on EX electrics. I’m honestly looking forward to getting to do all those cool swaggy Drive Rush combos, and maybe actually learn some doll setplay setups.

meant2live218,

Dang, on AX weekend? If that happens, I wonder if rental prices are going to skyrocket for the month.

meant2live218,

Would things like watermarks be considered as “usable and not excessively downgraded state”? I don’t create any OC and am new to the hobby, but that at least seems like a half-decent way for artists to have their stuff available but not in “perfect” condition.
