So is extrapolating a volunteer poll on a random website to represent a demographic and using it as a fact to talk down about said demographic. But, par for course nowadays I guess
A voluntary poll on the Economist, I’d bet? I’d also bet some people were trolling it. It’s definitely just clickbait to get people to be cynical of other people again.
I’d love to hear you dive into this a little more.
Also, no need to explain what you assume I am thinking/conflating. I’d just like to hear actual thoughts from you, with hopefully some depth rather than internet copy/paste-esque comments, rather than what you think I am thinking.
No, I think radicalization of a populous is a terrible thing. If you only want to speak on radical politics though, I also believe in it being bad in the majority of cases.
With your logic, I would have to assume you support what is happening to Gaza, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Yemen, basically all invasions, as well as the destruction in the Middle East. Also, if you’d like to apply it to American politics, I would have to assume you support all the radical stances that Republicans are pushing for, and would like the fundamental change of letting Trump be a dictator? You did say that radicalization is the only good thing?
I imagine you really think “radical politics” is only fundamental changes that you like, but that’s not how it works.
And again, the initial comment was on radicalization, not radical politics, even though those are mostly a bad thing as well.
I have no intentions of actually using Kalis long list of tools for any real reason, but I really like learning new stuff. I thought it’d be fun to crack my own wifi password and stuff like that just to understand how it all works. Is there any good place to learn how to use the tools, and how they work?...
I thought that might be the case, but like I said, I don’t really have any projects or ideas after figuring out how to crack my wifi password. Just like learning!
I appreciate it, that is basically exactly what I am looking for. It seems like a real interesting way to learn without having to do questionably legal stuff, or have to set up a bunch of my own stuff to attempt to learn on.
I agree with the sentiment in context of these “next level” atrocities, for lack of better way to phrase it.
But I disagree with “No one person commits atrocities alone; there must be some backing”. Plenty of atrocities have happened because one person decided to be a dickhead
Oh yeah, geopolitical is probably a better way to phrase it than “next level”.
That I agree with. I just felt like saying “nobody commits atrocities alone” removes some blame from some monsters out there that have done terrible shit.
Here and Here for sources that back up the claims made in this tweet. Additional source for backing up the number of journalists killed in the Vietnam war
I hate that I feel like I have to disclaimer that this is just thinking, and not justification or anything… But it’s a sensitive topic
But my thought is if we considered all bloggers as journalists… I feel like we’d have to consider people in WW2 who kept journals as well.
Again, not trying to take away from anything. I guess I just think considering internet hobbies as professions is weird in general. Like “rapper kills rapper” news story… But the rappers have a few songs on SoundCloud with like 10 listens.
I broke my old laptop, and decided to full send Linux Mint on the new one without ever using Linux before. I’m trying to help some people study math. I want to put together like 10 questions, and below them have the answers as well as the shown work to get to the answer. I’d like to be able to blur/black the answer section...
I was thinking of trying that direction. To be honest, just got the laptop today and have to have the “study group” tomorrow so I’m asking before exploring since I’m not at home with the laptop at the moment.
I was just showing one of many examples from the article that the activists weren’t “being charged for being attention to deplorable conditions in animal farms” but actual other crimes.

Is there Linux software that I could make a PDF(or any format) by copy/pasting screenshots into a page, but also have the ability to spoiler blur/hide them until clicked?

Not really sure what to put here…I usually put relevant excerpts, but that got this post deleted for doing that
