Depends on how it’s configured by the company. I’ve faced in the past the situation of having to login with the company email to be able to use the MFA with a propietary app, which meant I needed to enroll into the BYOD policy and it includes remote device management.

Ended up installing an emulator in the work laptop just for that purpose and left the company shortly after.

Fossify: Community fork of SimpleMobileTools after their sale (github.com)

Being run by the project developers left after the primary dev’s departure and (if you’ll excuse the drama) betrayal by selling to what amounts to an advertising company. Personally I’ve started supporting this project on github, as losing these tools would be a massive blow to the open source Android ecosystem.

Haven’t seen them in any store yet, but looking at the traction that SMT had it would make sense to add them soon

Been using ghost commander for years, never had any issue, it’s available both in f-droid and google play
