I feel so much love for my son, Jude, today. He phoned my Dad, who is Molo to him, because he read a comprehension on Iain Player in his Afrikaans class. they spoke for a long time, all through his break at school. Then Dad phoned me this evening, as close to tears as a man born in 1936 gets, to talk of how Jude really just has a deep earthy resonance with him. When I spoke to Jude about it this evening, he said “I know he doesn’t have time left, & I didn’t want to miss the time that’s left”

I am so excited. the play is happening on Saturday, and tomorrow is our first full dress rehearsal at the venue. I have spent the evening translating and recording the Message / umYalezo for the final audio of the play, thus far in original (isiZulu), English and Latin. I’m still busy with the #AncientGreek as I’m rusty on #prosecomposition, but the #Latin was surprisingly easy (even after 10 years). @nnwhen please add your awesomeness to this toot.
