Speaker McCarthy was ousted by his own party members yesterday, and he has no plans to run again. This leaves the GOP adrift and leaderless, but it’s hard to tell the difference, right? They haven’t had true leadership in more than eight months.

@necropola I think the guides are for making the lures or motivations or whatever they're called. If you already have a ton of research notes, and don't want the OW legendary armor, you can turn those essences into a goo damount of gold crafting the T1-T3 motivations for others.

@necropola I don't like doing them at all personally. They're super boring to me. Unless they come up with something in the next release/maps that increases the drops of those essences or give other ways of getting them, I think my excitement for the OW legendary armor has completely evaporated and I'm going to have to slog through WvW if I want that.

But also, with the introduction of the stat-selectable exotic vendor, I wonder if the whole legendary armor thing is a huge waste of time.

@Winged_Hussar I just want them to leave hammer mechanist alone, I'm having entirely too much fun. And I just got into fractals. I don't wanna have to restart everything because what I have is no longer good. :AngeryCat:

I've seen a few complaints about how the new dailies and weeklies are too easy. They aren't supposed to challenge you, they're designed to make you return to the game every day for rewards. They're getting a tad repetitive though.

@that_shaman some of them are easy enough that I do the accidentally while just playing the game. That's not a bad thing for me, I sometimes play for an hour before I even look up there and usually 2 are already done. I love the new system.

@necropola @lulztard I used to gather every S4 currency every day when I was doing skyscale and then just to get more volatile magic, and I would dutifully report every AFK farmer I saw. Did this for over 6 months, no change in afk farmer population. I think they don't have the capability or willingness to do anything about it. 😞

@lorty @meldrik my theory is this. The experienced people who might teach beginners are too interested in just getting their dailies done quickly.

You could put one in there saying "all welcome, learning fractals" and everyone could noob it up together. Could be fun. Might take a while to form.

My recommendation is to find and join a guild or two that do fractal training and the like.

@georgetakei Nothing changed after Sandy Hook, nothing will ever change. People who go on and on about the 2nd amendment never stop to consider the fact that the deadliest weapon a single person could carry around at the time was a musket that took many seconds to reload. Now one person can carry enough firepower to kill hundreds.

Look it really isn't that complicated, if someone asks you "I need your help in Maguuma" just go to the Maguuma Jungle.. or the Maguuma Wastes.. or the Heart of Maguuma.. or the Maguuma WvW server.. or if you still haven't found your friend after an hour try the Horn of Maguuma!

The new daily reward system introduced with is going to be its third iteration. The first one lasted for roughly 2.5 years before being replaced with the current (second) one which stood for over 8 years and 8 months!

Sounds quite good so far, reward players for playing and not for logging in on their 80 accounts every day!

But I'm also very very cautious when it comes to seasonal content passes knowing the (mmo) industry's track record.

@that_shaman I think this change is long overdue. I'd love to be able to buy other time gated or mode gated things like Gift of Battle as well, but I'm not holding my breath there.

@asal I can speak from my experience. I made Celestial Ascended gear for my Alac mechanist. It was really just a project for me, was looking for something to do in game. I don't really have much interest in Fractals, but now I'd be ready. I think if your intent behind making cele ascended gear would be to get into fractals, know that cele will likely only get you so far. Higher end groups look for specific stats for the most part.

@lorty @meldrik Right now on my NA server, the exchange rate to buy 1200 Gems is ~430 gold. You could probably get that in a shortish amount of time depending on how hard you go and what content you play. Whether that's worth it or not is kind of relative. It wouldn't be to me, but it might to others.

@avater @Winged_Hussar I'm bummed there's no more WvW potions anymore. I was doing the easy WvW dailies and saving those up too I got 80 for an easy gift of battle. Guess I'll actually have to play the content now 😁
