Tech pundits have been talking forever about their imagined need for Apple Pencil to be turned around and used as an eraser. Most of them stating that they donโ€˜t use the Pencil much.

Let me tell you that nobody actually using the Pencil on a regular basis is missing this.

@marcel Never used the eraser much on my Wacom styli because it didnโ€™t feel precise and convincing. So, didnโ€™t miss it on the Apple pencil. However, the double tap on the side is frequently activated by just grabbing the pencil, so Iโ€™d love to see a well implemented eraser on the end that fixes both problems.

@melgu @marcel Without haptic feedback the double tap is pretty much useless to me. The side button(s) from the Wacom stylus are perhaps the best compromise?
Even the stem of the AirPods has tactile feedback when you squeeze them, so that would be an improvement.
