The Egyptian, one of our great theatres in Hollywood, will reopen this evening after a $70 million dollar restoration by Netflix. David Fincher's The Killer will be the first film screened.

In celebration, Netflix today released Temple of Film, a doc short featuring Guillermo del Toro, Rian Johnson, and other film luminaries reflecting on their love of the theatre.

I think there are legitimate reasons to push back on film and TV critics, and appropriate avenues to do so, but obviously this isn't it.

What it really speaks to, I suspect, is not having enough people around you who are willing to tell you that your idea probably isn't a good one. That's easy for me to say, as we all surround ourselves with people who agree with us from time-to-time, but at a certain executive level, you need it.
