It's almost magic!
In the Netherlands, there is a quasi linear relation between the average power price per day and the percentage of solar + wind in the power mix that day.
Plus: this linear fit crosses zero at about 100% solar + wind.

This is also true for previous years (not in graph). The absolute height of the line is dependent on the natural gas price.

By the way, the price of Dutch (day ahead) power is dependent on many variables, including imports/exports and week/weekend..

@BM_Visser The reasoning behind that must be that it has to cross zero to get to negative prices during over-production to stabilize the net, right? It doesn’t mean 100% solar and wind would mean free energy as besides ‘free fuel’ it does need investments to build the machines to harvest the sun and wind.

Once we can store energy (hydrogen maybe?), I would expect prices will hit a floor / minimum level.

Ughh... :sad_cat: Thought I could save some storage money by deleting all remote media older than 90 days on 2 instances but those actions plus the normal media uploading is way too much for Wasabi to handle it seems

@stux that surpirises me. Would expect they have some sort of purge option? If Wasabi can’t handle it and, for example, Amazon Web Services can, that might become the cheaper option although more expensive per TB.
