Very proud to see "Baseline" launch - a view on what is supported across browser on the web each year - amazing work from the Web DX community group.

https://web.dev/baseline/ and you can see it in action here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@layer

@Schweinepriester @argyleink that information is at the bottom of the page. Many developer just want to know they can use it, not since when... So we're solving both needs

paul,

@Schweinepriester @argyleink I believe the goal is to assume it needs to be in at least the last two versions

paul,

@Schweinepriester @argyleink but yes, this would be a concern across all browsers

https://subtls.pages.dev/

You can see the page fetch itself over TLS, this is a very very good demonstration

I played around with using IndexedDB as a Vector Database and had a lot of fun building a little library that you can use in your client-side generative ML projects

    What's the latest guidance to run code written for Node in the browser (with Vite?) - I'm running into issues getting fs to work with vite-plugin-node-stdlib-browser

    paul,
    @paul@status.kinlan.me avatar

    @nmn browserify

    paul,
    @paul@status.kinlan.me avatar

    @nmn yeah I looked at it. Actually this is where it gets more complex than I let on, I was building a Chrome Extension and WebContainer needed access to the DOM (which the service worker doesn't have)

    paul,
    @paul@status.kinlan.me avatar

    @nmn yeah, my build system I based around (which is around rollup iirc)

    paul,
    @paul@status.kinlan.me avatar

    @nmn sorry. I'm not trying to run vite in the browser. I'm trying to run npm modules - some of which rely on fs. The current state is that none of the tooling can handle parts of the module.

    At the same time it seems others have similar issues but no solutions and right now I don't have time to fix it unfortunately.

    @nmn yeah - I've seen that one and forks of it... unfortunately they still error for me.

    I just wanted to say thanks for the help - I'm changing some tac on this project as the current state kinda beat me :D
