I see a lot of dcgays have strong opinions about the climate protesters vandalizing expensive artwork around the world. It's unfortunate that they feel the need to do this, BUT think about it this way: who's going to care about a Monet if humanity is radically decimated, or even goes extinct, if we can't get our leaders to do something to stop the global average temperature rise going much over 2° Celsius. (1/7)

philjreese,

The super rich are not going to invite you onto their penis shaped space ships to save you from the overwhelming chaos the pervasive drought, ocean rise, and massive crop die off.

In order to slow the average global temperature rise, and hopefully make it stop at 2° C, we are going to have to IMMEDIATELY part with habits, routines, and conveniences we already love and hold dear, because the industries behind them are unsustainable for the climate. Period. No wavering. (2/7)
