A foray into new mayonnaise territory, after my (mis)adventure some time ago with Miracle Whip. What say you to Duke’s Mayonnaise? Thumbs up or down?

@stuartmarks a potential follow-up rant would mention the annoying pop ups in UIs insisting you learn about the new features in the update

Very interesting. Apple opensources Pkl, a programming language for configuration.

In my today

From: Lindsay

Thank you for making it so easy for me to see that you have hacked into 3 of my very own devices throughout the year. I'm going to be holding onto all of my finds that have your name all over it and not by me because I have absolutely no reason to hack my own belongings. I will be adding this to stuff I have already for my attorney.

(plus another 40 lines of rambling in the same style)

A user is rude and DEMAND a change to your project, but after lots of back-and-forth a slightly different improvement is landed. Should the person get credit for their "report"?

@bagder I think a record of the user's collaboration should remain intact, but that anything that expresses gratitude should only be granted after a conversation with the user has been had about how events unfolded and an opportunity to reconcile everyone's expectations, conduct, etc. If reconciliation isn't possible, a record that reflects "how things really went down" can be used to help set expectations for others who wish to collaborate.

community-building isn't easy 😅

Ubuntu broke their package for a while but seems to be fine again: https://github.com/curl/curl/issues/11475

philross,

@bagder if memory serves, this was only an issue on arm platforms, and was actually due to a bug in openssl. It was broke for a long time, but then fixed... then was broken in RHEL builds for awhile (not sure if it has been fixed yet)

@bagder oops, after reading the discussion I've concluded the same 😅 maybe this bug is a regression that's related to the fix for the bug I was thinking of (probably not). but the common theme is that curl wasn't actually the culprit
