I tried to convince a TLD operator in my DNSSEC class to hand out the root password so we could together, as a class exercise, initially sign their zone, but they chickened out.

Oh well; I tried. 😜

Don't apologize for the long post.

But do apologize for the abysmal formatting you have chosen to impose on me/us in spite of the fact that you've likely come across dozens of posts with neatly-formatted code, and you're too ignorant to ask yourself or others how that's done. Adding insult to injury, you removed the template which explains how to format code when you began your post.

Good luck finding help.

I use https://ephemetoot.hugh.run and not the Mastodon built-in mechanism for deleting toots because a) the latter didn't exist when I began using and b) the former is more flexible, i.e. can archive my stuff.

Be that as it may, I've reconfigured ephemetoot so you won't see my garbage for longer than 21 days here, except for individual toots I configure to not be deleted.

Oh, look at that: it has shrunk from 4.8GB since the last time I downloaded it on 2022-11-16:

4.0G com.txt.gz

411.747.087 records.

I've been at it for a few years, but this is a first for me:

wget curl --silent "<https://api.github.com/repos/....../releases/latest>" | jq -r '.assets[].browser_download_url' | egrep ".tar.bz2$"

Whole list of those which need to be copied out of a PDF ...

wget and curl.

@iscdotorg is the authors[] array in bin/named/builtin.c actually maintained / up-to-date? 🙂

jpmens,
@jpmens@mastodon.social avatar
jpmens,
@jpmens@mastodon.social avatar

@ondrej

Assuming I felt like extracting full names from git, would you accept a patch for that array?

It's a cute feature of BIND, and I like demoing it. Sadly, a savvy person this week realized the list is incomplete which is why I'm opening the can of worms. ;)

Edit: without Patches to support punycode in builtin databases

@ondrej

git shortlog -s | sort -nr

might be a solution; anybody with fewer than, say, 20 commits doesn’t make it into authors[] ?

@iscdotorg

jpmens,
@jpmens@mastodon.social avatar

@ondrej

BTW, I got you to 3rd position using a trick I once learned from @bagder : a .mailmap file containing different email addresses you seem to have used on commits:

$ git shortlog -s | sort -rn
11056 Mark Andrews
3896 Evan Hunt
3517 Ondrej Sury
