Woot! Cities Skylines 2 release day. I totally should have taken today off. Oh wells.

There has been a lot of discussion around the performance of the game and the devs have even admitted to not reaching the benchmarks they expected. If this was from a new company taking over the franchise I'd be concerned. For me, given the developers track record of providing updates I think it's going to be okay. I also don't feel bad pre-ordering knowing this. It's not like they are some huge game studio.

    Every so often a band just pops into my mind.

    Today it was INXS, so right now I am listening to their albums. I mean I had most of them ripped to my Plex server already so it was easy enough.

    @scopique @belghast I saw a clip from Ice T of all people talking about how an album use to be an experience and that artists these days don't create music in that same way. They create music for that 1 song whereas it use to be artists created an album to tell a story or have a flow. And that reading the liner notes was also part of the experience. I miss liner notes.

    @scopique @belghast My 2nd floor neighbors moved out and the new neighbors are amazing. So I can finally actually play music in my house again. I can not express how much I miss cleaning the house to Neo-Soul and old school Hip Hop on the weekends.
    Also it greatly amuses me that at some point "Baby Got Back" is gonna be an "oldies" song lol.

    @scopique @belghast Me too! They are all still organized in those big CD books. At one point used to have all my music on my PC but I stopped doing that at least 10 years ago I think.

    Just an FYI. If you are dealing with spambots DMing you, you can easily stop their attempts.

    Go to your settings, then Notifications, and under "Other Notification Settings", check the box for "Block direct messages from people you don't follow".

    @scopique So annoying. I also can't seem to find an option to block people from @ me unless I'm following them or something close that. Seems like a really important feature so maybe I'm just missing something.

    @scopique one of the cool things with the new version is pipes and electrical wires will automatically be placed with the roads.

    As far as this version, yeah I suck too lol. Sometimes I think that can even be fun.

    The client wanted more clutter in the hallway. I don't think they understand my obsession with clutter. Like my house is an explosion of knick knacks, books, random things.

    Anywhose, here is a pic of the hallway from the house I'm working on. I think I managed to get clutter on every inch of that console table.

    @scopique so I was watching a tips and tricks video. Apparently you can throw healing potions at your party and it will do an AoE heal! So if you group up just throw the bottle at them boom everyone gets a heal.

    @scopique Right?! Mind fucking blown. I never would have thought to do that. Oh another one, carry a bunch of boxes with you. If you can stack them up before you get into combat put your ranged character up there for advantage on their shots. Or use it to block a door and then mobs have to find an alternate route.

    @scopique you can also send locked boxes you can't open to your camp. Then when you have tools to open them you can just do it at camp. oh and another good one, dip your weapon in fire and now you have a flaming weapon for a little extra damage. I'll try find the video for you in my YT history. It's not spoiler.

    @scopique yeah so far if this was an actual D&D campaign it very much feels like everyone is roleplaying various levels of asshole lol. Hopefully that gets better after getting out of this starting area.
