I have an old thinkpad that's survived a decade and a half and been retired to siting alone next to some speakers and sometimes playing music. Well tonight, completely out of the blue, I found the whole thing COVERED in a solid black layer of ants.

Sure, there's probably a couple ancient crumbs under the keyboard but like WTF? There are ants nowhere else in the house. Did they try to form a colony in the laptop because it was warm?

Question for any autistic people:

When you were in middle school and high school...

a. Did anything teachers did give you particular difficulty?
b. Did you have any teachers who were particularly helpful? In what ways?
c. How did you feel about "group work" ?

@futurebird a) Yes, they regularly laid down highly contextual rules ("Don't do X unless Y") then misapplied them ("I told you never to do X! Y doesn't matter!")

b) Very few. They stated requirements clearly and took questions genuinely.

c) Absolutely hated it because it was always about who could make themselves look the best. Sadly, 30 years later, it still is.

Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a rocket launch which reminded me so much of that bit in Don't Look Up where a bunch of drones just eat shit into an asteroid and the billionaire goes "Everything's fine, that's expected"
