rokzoi,

Correct me if i am wrong but DNSSEC has nothing to do with encryption of your request. It is used to verify that the record you received is from the correct authority. Furthermore your DNS requests have to go through your ISP even if you don’t use their DNS server as it is your only connection to the Internet.

The only thing you could do is encrypt the traffic somehow (dns over https exists), but then you have to trust that provider instead, and your ISP can still see the IP addresses you try to reach after you know them and might be able to still do a domain lookup using DNS if it is also configured to return the domain when looking up the IP. If they would put in the effort of course.

rokzoi,

It's nice to see your perspective on it, you make some great points.

Its funny how the places that I dislike the most (status bar toggles and recently google search) are used often and thus do not need the benefits of reading and content separation. You already know by heart what it says and where they are.

Maybe I would like it more if the big padding would only be used in places where I do not interact often with. This would make consistency difficult though.

rokzoi,

The colors I do like personally, it's the huge buttons that make me feel like it was made for the elderly lol.

Its nice to see everyone has their own take. :)

rokzoi,

No problems with that :)

rokzoi,

For a second it looked like it did not have a notch/punch hole. Was so happy, i just really like a full screen phone.

Is there any good small Android phone?

I like the feeling of holding and using a phone in one hand. I am using a Pixel 5 right now but it feels a bit too large for me. I know nobody makes phone that small like the iPhone 4S or the Samsung S3 mini, but is there at least a phone smaller than the Pixel 5? Maybe around the size of a iPhone 12/13 mini?

rokzoi,

That's really nice. I backed the Jelly Star (which has the same dimensions) and can't wait to try it out. I feel like it won't be my main phone but still willing to give it a try.
