@thelinuxcast I really miss dark sky. I think apples bloat and half ass try ruined the dark sky team. I’m sure they’re only a skeleton crew at this point too.
@thelinuxcast i can't remember. were you ever able to get battle.net to work? i just got it working via bottles finally. think it's busted on steam 3rd-party proton.
@thelinuxcast at the point of just returning the mini pc (it's great, but not enough storage) and switching to a nas. looking at synology/qnap. been seeing people iffy on qnap support/stability tho.
@thelinuxcast i just can't win lately. now steam update broke steam flatpak to where it only shows in gnome background apps and won't launch gui. fedora 40 ws.
I have just discovered the drama with the GNOME circle logo, this might be the biggest reach I've ever seen by people who are terminally online more than I am
@thelinuxcast ordered the minix n100-0db to test out for jellyfin server. debating on what os to put on the 4tb m.2 i have tho. maybe debian so i don't have updates every day? lol.
@thelinuxcast why plex and not jellyfin? i just use jellyfin server flatpak with internal 4tb drive so i can avoid the permission bs.
edit: remember when i was going through the whole phase you're going through with the home lab server lol. i'm thinking about getting an intel n100 mini pc and throwing my 4tb m.2 in that for 24/7 jellyfin server.

I've had a really hard time these last two weeks getting back into any book. I've not DNF'd anything, but I just can't get into them.
Mistborn is so very meh compared to Tress. I just don't care about the characters or their plight yet, and given that I'm almost 300 pages in, that's not great.
Started a couple others, both are also meh.
In a bit of a slump so I've been reading some fanfic again.
I'm going to have to intersperse some other books with the Mistborn trilogy. I'm 5 hours in and only 200 pages into the 2500 page trilogy. I don't think I'll ever buy a trilogy all in one book again. It is just too long. Especially Sanderson who can't seem to write anything small.
I should have made this decision earlier today since I had a hold come in from Libby, but I already delayed it.
@thelinuxcast are you reading smaller books? How are you reading so many lol. Just started rereading Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone and just now got to chapter 10. Then again I’m only reading a chapter or 2 when I’m about to go to bed.

@thelinuxcast when you were testing kde. did you try any flatpak apps? i could never get theming to work properly, the mouse would always switch to the default gtk gnome theme one and have the gtk theme. i tried the kavuntum or whatever theme/flatpak breeze theme/permissions etc, but nothing worked.
