The strikes and protests of the steel workers in Ahvaz-Iran continue:
For the second day in a row, the workers returned to the streets of the city after 5 years of repression, chanting radical slogans for their rights.
In recent months, the workers in this sector of the Iranian steel industry have carried out very important events.
First of all, I would like to give a brief general explanation about Ahvaz and the workers in this sector.

Ahvaz is one of the most economically and politically important cities in Iran. The existence of two ethnic minorities, the Arabs and the Loris, who are both politically, socially and economically marginalised in Iran and have always been oppressed in all aspects of life, has given this city a special political position, especially in the labour struggles.
In the last ten years, the steel workers of Ahvaz have managed to achieve important changes in the process of labour protests in Iran through the special tactics of the working class. Therefore, the protests of the Ahvaz steel workers have an important place among the Iranian workers and political activists.

Their campaign tactics include the formation of committees, the convening of a workers' congress attended by 250 workers and the election of a spokesperson.

In the last three months, these workers have once again decided to stand up to the status quo.

In recent years, the Ahvaz steel workers have repeatedly faced pressure from the security forces and government tactics to crush the movement. Today, the steel workers have launched strikes and demonstrations against economic corruption, low wages and many undisclosed targets in the company.
In 2018 they carried out the biggest strikes and demonstrations in Iran. They closed all the doors of the company for 38 days and did not allow the workers (white collars) to enter. The workers demonstrated in the city of Ahvaz and organised a march for several hours against the existing situation.
The doors of the company were closed and the workers were not allowed to enter the building. The workers demonstrated in the city of Ahvaz and organised a march for several hours against the existing situation.

Over the past two months, they first gathered in front of the manager's office, then went on strike for several hours, and a week later went on strike for eight days, finally forcing the manager's employees out of the company and occupying it for a week. At the moment there are daily strikes and demonstrations in the streets of Ahvaz. On the first day, they gathered in front of the central branch of the National Bank (Bank-e Melli) in Ahvaz, preventing people from entering and leaving the bank. (The National Bank owns a few percent of the company's shares).
The trigger for these protests in recent months was the blockade of the entrance to the factory by a number of workers. After the management (the employer) fired one of the leading workers, Karim Siyahi, the workers threw the factory manager out of the factory and occupied the factory for eight days until their colleagues returned to work.
[The Ahvaz Steel Plant is one of the most important companies in Iran producing rebar, beams, seamless pipes and ultra-light beams].

"His name may not mean much to the general public, but for a part of the diverse anarchist world, Alfredo Maria Bonanno was much more than a point of reference. He died this morning, Wednesday, December 6, in Trieste, he was 86 years old."

The systematic murder of women by the government continues under the banner of the Islamic regime.

According to Iranian media, Armita died after 28 days in hospital.

, who was attacked by government agents in the Tehran metro station in early October this year, then fell to the ground and suffered a concussion, has died after 28 days in hospital at Fajr Hospital.

The security authorities have so far prevented the transfer of Armita's body to her family, saying they do not have permission to take it to her hometown of Kermanshah. According to an informed source, the security authorities have decided to bury Armita in Behesht Zahra, Tehran.

POLICE LET NAZIS DO THEIR THING On Saturday night, a group of Nazis took to the streets of Chambéry with the aim (announced on the Internet) of "purifying" the city by beating up young people. The police did not intervene. They were only a few meters away from the demonstration in front of the town hall. Worse, the videos show how the police let the Nazis march and at the same time racially controlled the youth!

The Ministry of Health of the Islamic Republic of Iran has developed a system whereby all pregnant women are registered.

In practice, this means that a woman whose pregnancy has been confirmed by a test is registered in the database from the time the test is carried out and is kept under observation "until the day the child is born". In this way, the authorities are informed of the desire to terminate the pregnancy; "if there is no valid reason", they have the opportunity to prevent the abortion.
The control of women's bodies, the control of the uterus, is abhorrent in itself, but the leaking of a document from this internal system is proof of how the dark combination of custom and religion is ruining the lives of millions of women like a monster.

In a single village in the province of Kerman, 17 children under the age of 16 are pregnant, two of them as young as 11 and 13: one 11-year-old is 18 weeks pregnant and one 13-year-old is 32 weeks pregnant.
Children under the age of 16, who should be studying and playing, are about to become mothers, which means that they will be deprived of at least two years of their childhood.
Add to this the fact that the people of Kerman are among the most disadvantaged in Iran, with no access to proper health care or nutrition, and you can see that the life of each of these women is a disaster.

This is the hell that the dominant misogynist culture in this country has created for women with the help of the Islamic Republic and the medical industry, and it is proof of why the dominant reactionary and much of the opposition are very afraid of women's participation in the uprising.
