The refactor/rewrite of my Runestone framework now supports displaying invisible characters 🙌
Yes, I know Runestone has supported this for years, but I'm literally tearing Runestonee apart and putting all the pieces back together, so this still feels like an accomplishment 😄
@darioroa Mainly to be able to support AppKit and for my own peace of mind. I wouldn't recommend waiting. This rewrite is taking longer than I had expected. My goal is to keep all APIs the same and if there are any breaking changes, they should be easy to mitigate.
Any recommendations for open-source Swift packages that provide emojis grouped by category? They can either be a UI component that can be dropped into my app or just the underlying data enabling me to build my own picker.
@simonbs I'm looking to learn how other text editor devs deal with transformations like wrapping the selection in something complicated.
I couldn't find anything like that in the Runestone source. Did I look in the wrong place? 🤔
For context, I'm extracting a declarative API at the moment to express text transformations like "make each selected line a Markdown list item" or "wrap selection in code block":
@ChrisLawley Yes. If I hadn’t heard from someone, I wouldn’t stick around longer than five minutes. Not even if it was a meeting with my colleagues. We’re generally good at giving each other a heads up if we’re running a couple of minutes late at the company though.
@sanguish@mark That sounds horrifying! Unless I could convince someone to remove the snake from the mower, I’d call it quits for the mower and get a new one 😄
