If you, like me, really disliked the glow / blooming on the M1/M2 iPad Pro display, you’ll be pleased to know it’s gone in the M4 🙌 I’m not sure how much it will be visible, but here’s a side by side comparison of new and old.

@benbloodworth The hardware is… gosh, I don’t even know any more. We passed overkill with M1, so this is overkill x2? 🤷‍♂️ This thing is faster than most Macs, and lighter than most Macs too.

First words holding the M4 iPad Pro: “holy **** that’s thin.”

Second words, half a minute later: “that’s just absurdly thin.”

Third words, another half a minute later: “the new Magic Keyboard is so much nicer!” Thinner, lighter, better materials 🤩

This is a big upgrade 👍

Here’s a side by side comparison of the old Magic Keyboard on the left, and the new one on the right. Much bigger trackpad, and I love the new metal design – it makes the old one feel a bit like the very first iPad case Apple launched 😅

@endareth No. In the Mashable review they played a video on loop at 50% screen brightness, and it lasted over 16 hours – that’s more than enough, even for heavy usage. Heck, even 8 hours is enough for a long iPad session.

I believe I've found a small typo on this page in 100 Days of SwuitUI.

Where you say "we can just pass in a dummy value", the code snippet seems to be missing the opening curly brace.

What's the best way for me to report these things? I'm guessing it's not a repo I can Pull Request to?

@rmondello 1. I somehow have 2 passkeys to Gmail, one in iCloud and another in a shared group. Can I delete one without risk? Does it need to be deleted on a server too?

  1. Some companies send SMS 2FA even with passkeys. Is this a useful measure, or just theater?

  2. Certain organizations use biometric ID when entering a saved password, then again for a 2FA 5 seconds later. Would an n-second grace period to avoid the second identification be feasible, or is that A Terrible Idea?
